With Hakin United falling to defeat against Clarbeston Road, Goodwick United went top of the table - still with a game in hand - with a comfortable victory over Tenby.

It was the first time the Phoenix Boys and the Seasiders have met this season, although the two sides shared a closely contested game at the Ogi Bridge Meadow Stadium in the Senior Cup semi-final last season where eventual champions Goodwick narrowly came away with a 1-0 win.

Goodwick have been in electric form this season with their only defeat coming in the FAW Amateur Trophy against quality opposition Penrhyncoch.

Tenby started the season in strong form following their promotion from Division Two but a tough patch with mixed form now sees them mid-table in 7th place.

Goodwick's star man Rhys Jones got the home side off to the perfect start in the 16th minute, before doubling their lead just two minutes later, taking his league tally to 10 goals in nine games.

Youngster Dan James then made it three in the 29th minute, with Captain Scott Delaney grabbing his second assist of the game.

The second-half was a quieter affair with only one goal, with forward Rhys Dalling getting on the scoresheet when his effort on goal was deflected past the Tenby goalkeeper.
