We are delighted to report on the resounding success of the recent Charity Dining Event in support of the Sandy Bear Children’s Bereavement Charity at The Rising Sun. It was fantastic to be involved in an event supporting a fantastic local charity whilst being able to enjoy the incredible food and hospitality of the Rising Sun, providing an unforgettable experience for all involved.

The £2,393 raised for Sandy Bear on the night is testament to the charity’s commitment to improving and strengthening the emotional wellbeing of young people and their families during times of loss.

From the moment we arrived we were enveloped in warmth and generosity, with beautifully presented charity auction lots setting the tone for an evening filled with goodwill. Guests were greeted with a welcoming glass of Prosecco from the Rising Sun’s proud owner Gethin Bateman, adding a personal touch that was appreciated by all.

The insightful speech delivered by one of the charity’s directors provided context and purpose for the evening’s endeavours, allowing guests to connect with the cause and reminding us of the importance of such charities and events. The intimate environment created a warmth ambiance for the proceedings, with local MP Stephen Crabb in attendance to show his support for the charity.

The meticulously planned three-course meal with exquisite options was simply delightful, with clean plates all round not just from our team at Connect: Pembrokeshire but from all the diners in the room - showcasing the talents of resident chef Matthew at the Rising Sun.

It was a pleasure to be part of such an event, raising money for a remarkable cause. Our team would like to extend our sincerest thanks for the opportunity to be part of such a heartwarming occasion.

The efforts of Sandy Bear make a real difference to the lives of those they support with your work leaving an indelible mark on our community.
