Clarbeston Road Road produced a superb second-half comeback to claim all three points with a 3-1 victory over Narberth on a wet and windy afternoon.

The hosts went in to the game looking for their first win of the season, although they have come up against tough opposition already facing Tenby, Goodwick United and Hakin United in their opening four fixtures.

Clarby would have come into the game desperate to get their second win over the season, having only collected two points since their opening day victory over Fishguard Sports.

Narberth started strongly and took a deserved lead before the break through forward Steff Williams, who found the net to send the hosts into half-time 1-0 up.

The conditions worsened in the second half, but Clarbeston Road adapted brilliantly and came out firing. Travis Jones levelled the scores early after the restart with a good finish from outside the box, before Greg Brown struck to put the visitors ahead.

As Narberth pushed forward in search of an equaliser, Clarbeston Road sealed the win late on with a composed finish from Matthew Davies, completing an impressive turnaround.

Despite the challenging weather, both teams battled hard throughout, but Clarby Road’s second-half performance proved decisive as they claimed an important away victory.

The win sees Clarbeston Road move up to the top half in 6th place as they prepare to face high-flying St Ishmaels who they recently fell to a 0-7 defeat against.

Narberth remain rooted to the bottom of the table as they prepare to face fellow strugglers Carew in a key encounter next weekend.
