A stunning farm house in the rolling hills of Carmarthenshire has recently undergone a complete roof renovation, showcasing the collaborative expertise of three Pembrokeshire-based businesses working together to deliver both aesthetic appeal and cutting-edge sustainability.

PFR Roofing, led by Rob Neill, transformed the property by replacing old asbestos slates with elegant Canadian natural slate tiles, giving the traditional farm house a refreshed yet timeless appearance. The slate roofing provides exceptional durability while maintaining the character of the rural property.

The work was carried out by PFR Roofing as part of West Wales Solar, integrating sleek in-roof photovoltaic panels seamlessly into the new slate roof. The solar installation is particularly impressive, with the panels designed to charge a substantial 18kW battery system, providing significant energy independence for the homeowners.

Completing the trio of local expertise was Green Warmth, renewable energy specialists who installed an air source heat pump to deliver efficient, sustainable heating for the property. The comprehensive system represents a significant step towards off-grid living for the homeowners.

The project serves as an excellent example of how traditional rural properties can be sensitively upgraded to meet modern energy efficiency standards while preserving their distinctive character.
