Carew secured their spot in the Senior Cup Semi-Finals with an impressive 5-2 away victory over Monkton Swifts.

Despite a tough league campaign, Carew have continued to show why they are considered by many to be "cup specialists" with a number of good performances in cup competitions this season.

The visitors had won back to back games, a 2-0 victory over Monkton Swifts in the league followed by a 7-0 drubbing of Haverfordwest Cricket Club in the Senior Cup. Prior to that, they were narrowly defeated by Llanelli league leaders Seaside in the West Wales Cup.

Carew got off to the dream start when Archie Smith opened the scoring in the first minute but the Swifts quickly equalised through Dylan Davies, their Captain for the match.

Gareth Lewis restored the lead for the visitors with a goal in the 31st minute.

Carew added goals to secure a comfortable victory through Marcus Griffiths, Joseph Hinchliffe and Shaun Whitfield.
