Pembrokeshire's Premier Football Academy

SSA Pembrokeshire (Scorers Soccer Academy) is dedicated to developing the footballers of the future. With over 400 young players coached every week across the county, SSA has quickly established itself as the go-to destination for aspiring footballers of all abilities – from those just starting out to those dreaming of a professional career.

Development Centres

SSA Development Centres are the perfect starting point for any young footballer. With locations in Haverfordwest, Tenby, Narberth, Pembroke, and Fishguard, the centres welcome players aged 7 to 14 of all abilities. Set in a fun, relaxed environment, sessions focus on individual development, building technical skills and understanding of the game without the pressure of a team setting. It doesn't matter whether you're the next Messi or simply want to enjoy kicking a ball – everyone is welcome.

Advanced Academy

The SSA Advanced Academy is the stepping stone between Development Centres and the Elite Academy, designed for players ready to take their game to the next level. This invitation-only programme provides an individually-led environment where the emphasis is placed on the specific needs of each player, helping them develop technically and grow in confidence and self-belief – without the pressure and fear of failure. Through specific individual training and a games programme, players are assessed monthly to determine their readiness for the demands of the Elite Academy. Whether progressing from Development Centres or enhancing their skills alongside Elite training, the Advanced Academy ensures every player is in the right environment to shine.

Elite Academy

For players ready to take the next step, SSA Elite Academy offers a pathway to the top. The invitation-only programme runs squads from Under 6s through to Under 14s, competing against professional academies including the likes of Swansea City, Cardiff City, Bristol City, Plymouth Argyle, and Southampton. With international trips planned – including a tour to Holland in April 2026 – the Elite Academy provides young players with the chance to make lifelong memories in a professional environment.

Proven Player Pathway

SSA's player pathway has a proven track record, with over 50 players progressing from development centres to the elite academy. Currently, seven players have been signed by Swansea City, demonstrating the quality of coaching and development on offer.

Little Legs

For the youngest footballers, Little Legs provides the perfect introduction to the game. Designed for children of young ages, sessions focus on fun, movement, and life skills – with football cleverly disguised through themed activities. It's where lifelong love of the game begins. Holiday Camps and Birthday Parties

SSA runs popular football camps every school holiday, offering action-packed days in a safe and fun environment. For something extra special, SSA also offers tailored birthday party packages – the perfect way to celebrate for any young football fan.

Community at the Heart

Founded by Mark and Dan in 2022, SSA has grown from two development centres in Neyland and Haverfordwest to a county-wide operation with around 22 coaches delivering over 12 sessions a week. The academy prides itself on treating every child as an individual – knowing their name, their attributes, and their development goals. For SSA, success isn't just about producing professional footballers; it's about creating memories, building confidence, and helping young people fall in love with the beautiful game.
