Division Two title contenders Pembroke 1XI (175-4) won a 6 wicket victory over a struggling Burton 2XI (173-9). Pembroke won the toss and decided to field, setting up a battle between their bowlers and an opposition who has been in weak form with the bat. Opening bowler Richard Pulman (3-17) found success early, collaborating with first change Andy Tait (3-27) to weave the woes of the Burton batsmen. Still, two strong individual performances brought Burton to their highest run tally of the season; a 64 from William Ridge (64;6x4) and a 35 from Jack Evans (35;5x4) respectively. After the break Pembroke set out on their chase of the total, managing to reach it in the 36th over. Ceri Brace (80;1x6;13x4no) put nearly half of the runs on himself, assisted by Paul White (33;3x4) and Richard Pulman (25;4x4no). As for Burton’s bowling, Harry Owen (1-33), Aled Thomas (1-30), Matthew Davies (1-26) and Mike Venables (1-8) all chipped in one wicket each, totaling all four of the team's dismissals. Following this win Pembroke sit in second, chasing a spot in next year's Division One. Burton on the other hand remain bottom of Division Two, though perhaps with some renewed confidence after their best batting performance of the season so far.

Tom Lewis (5-46) took a fifer, taking the venom out of the Llanrhian attack, whilst Jaap Harris (2-32) and Jamie Smith (1-21) also provided important contributions. Llanrhian’s best batsmen on the day were Russell Watkins (54) and Jack Jones (29) who fought to make the total possibly defendable. It was not to be however, as Llechryd batted well, only losing three wickets. Lewis (56) had the best figures with the bat too, in what was a great all-round performance. Gwion Watson (2-29) was Llanrhian’s best bowler, joined solely by Tom Clarke (1-31) in the wicket-taking club. Llanrhian find themselves still in need of wins to climb out of the relegation pit, whilst Llechryd continue to build on their mid table campaign.
