New Hedges Saundersfoot United continued their charge for promotion in Division Four with a 5-1 victory over Milford Athletic thanks to four goals from Jack Franklin.

The visitors raced into an early lead with two goals for Jack Franklin who also provided an assist to set up Oscar Miles, taking a 3-0 lead within 18 minutes.

Milford Athletic pulled a goal back in the 25th minute through Diar Yaygir before Jack Franklin completed his hat-trick from the penalty spot in the 43rd minute to give his side a 4-1 lead at half time.

As Milford Athletic battled hard to compete in the second half, they largely succeeded in keeping the visitors at bay but for another penalty conceded which Franklin converted for his fourth goal in the 62nd minute.

The victory sees New Hedges Saundersfoot United remain second in the table, nine points behind leader Camrose 2nds with three games in hand as both teams look not only to get promoted but claim the title.
