ONE of the games of the weekend saw Narberth take on Crymych in the WRU Championship West.

Having already beaten Crymych earlier in the season, the Otters were looking to secure another win to maintain their 100% league record.

Crymych had suffered defeat in their previous game but were keen to show why they have climbed up to fifth in the table in their debut Championship season.

It was another close game, Narberth only holding a 22-14 lead at half time.

It ended 30-21 to the Otters with only a late penalty taking away a losing bonus point for the visitors.

Alex Williams scored the first try of the game for the Otters before Crymych responded with one from Gethin Davies.

Carwyn Phillips then put Crymych ahead but Narberth levelled soon after with another try scored by Hedd Nicholas.

Josh Hamer then put Narberth back ahead with an unconverted try and a penalty then increased their lead to eight points at the break.

Ashley Sutton went over for a second half try for the hosts but Gethin Davies went over for his second to bring the score back to 27-21.

They could not find another score though and Narberth's late penalty ensured their thirteenth win from as many games.

IN League 1 West, Whitland suffered a narrow 14-20 defeat at the hands of Gowerton.

Zachary France-Miller scored an unconverted try for the Borderers and Geraint Jones added three penalties as they at least secured a losing bonus point.

Tenby won a real thriller in League 2 West as they beat Lampeter 39-37.

The Seasiders were behind at half time but turned things around in the second half and a late penalty from Harry Rossiter gave them the win.

That gave Rossiter a points haul of 24, having landed five other penalties and three conversions.

Tries came from Joe Andrews, Gwion Jones and Luke Dedman as Tenby closed the gap to their opponents.

St Clears also won again to stay top of the table as they beat Carmarthen Athletic 16-11.

Fishguard suffered defeat on Saturday as they were beaten 34-7 by Mumbles.

Mumbles led 13-7 at the break but the Seagulls were unable to turn the game around in the second half.

Milford Haven won for the second weekend in a row as they beat Amman United 13-12.

It was a hard-fought encounter which saw the Mariners end the game with 12 men but they were able to ground out a good away win.

Ieuan Davies scored the try which James Trueman converted and he also added two penalties.

League 3 West A leaders Aberaeron continued their impressive season with a 49-14 win over Neyland.

The Pembrokeshire All-Blacks gave it their all though, Owen Hamer scoring two tries but it wasn't enough against the league leaders.

Cardigan remain in second place, two points behind Aberaeron, after beating Llanybydder 87-5.

The Cardis scored 13 tries in the match with John Lumb getting four of those.

Pembroke beat Llangwm 26-21 at Pill Parks but had to withstand a second half comeback from the Wasps.

Pembroke held a 26-0 lead before Llangwm hit back but they were just unable to pull of what would have been a remarkable turnaround.

Haverfordwest also won on Saturday, winning 27-5 at Pembroke Dock Quins.

The win keeps them five points behind second placed Cardigan who they play this weekend in what is sure to be another cracker.
