Johnston 2nds were dealt a blow to their promotion hopes after being held at home to a resolute Broad Haven 2nds side.

The visitors took the lead when Sam Bassett slotted home with a cool finish after a ball over the top on the counter-attack.

The Tigers equalised soon after when Billy Davies' inswinging corner was poked over the line by midfielder Scott Patterson.

As Johnston began to take control of the game in the second half, Broad Haven showed their organisation and battling qualities to keep the home side frustrated and restricted to just a few chances.

Johnston were awarded a penalty when Ashley Bevans was brought down in the box, only for the Broad Haven goalkeeper Rhys Owen to deny Ryan Hayward with a fantastic save.
