Prendergast Villa secured an important win in the battle for survival in Manderwood Pembrokeshire Division Four, defeating Milford United 2nds 2-1.

The hosts were without a game in three league games, level on points with their opponents just two points above the relegation spaces.

Villa took the lead in the first half with forward Joe John scoring from a Liam Eaton assist.

The Robins equalised on the stroke of half-time, with a goal from Liam Davies.

With the scores level, Villa finally broke the deadlock through a corner which was headed by Mike Cordon before coming off Jack Evans for the winning goal.

Prendergast Villa now move up to 9th place, five points above Milford Athletic in the relegation zone.
