Monkton Swifts 2nds secured their place in the Manderwood Pembrokeshire Division Two Cup Final as they brushed aside Merlins Bridge 2nds with a comfortable 4-0 victory on Saturday 20th April 2024.

Having already been crowned champions following a superb league campaign where they have only suffered one defeat, the Swifts are hungry for more silverware with their eyes firmly on cup success.

They faced a Merlins Bridge 2nds side who have already completed their league campaign, currently sitting in 4th place.

The Swifts opened the scoring in the 21st minute when Rhys Sture fired home after Captain Liam Butland's header hit the crossbar from a corner kick.

Josh Sture then doubled their lead in the 38th minute, with another assist for Liam Butland.

In the second half it was more of the same, with the Swifts on the scoresheet in the 57th minute to make it three through Ashley Waterman who was set up by Alex Lewis.

Josh Sture then added another in the 65th minute, with Liam Butland sealing a hat-trick of assists to crown his performance.

The win means that Monkton Swifts 2nds will face Johnston in the final, to be played on Wednesday 1st May 2024.
