With just four points separating Neyland and Monkton Swifts, both sides would have seen this game as a great opportunity to gain points and start to put together some sort of consistent form, with the reverse fixture at Monkton Swifts also taking place next weekend.

Neyland battled to a late comeback from 0-2 down to gain a point against Milford United last week whilst the Swift's last league outing - over a month ago - saw them defeated by Merlins Bridge, with a raft of postponements due to bad weather across the county leading to an disjointed fixture list.

Hardworking forward Dylan Davies gave the visitors the lead in the 15th minute, finishing after a long ball over the top.

The hosts equalised in the 38th minute with Max Bowman-Davies scoring from a cracking early strike to catch out the goalkeeper, after a through ball from Patrick Bellerby.

The game remained level for the remainder despite the game opening up with chances for either side in the second half.

Monkton's Ben Steele saw red late on for a second yellow.
