Haverfordwest CC came out on top of a closely-fought contest in the Manderwood Pembrokeshire Senior Cup thanks to a winning goal from Lee Carruthers.

Despite a tough season for Milford Athletic in Division Four, the visitors put up a good performance against a team a Division above them.

David Hawkins gave the visitors the lead from the penalty spot.

Liam Sheehan then equalised for the hosts in the 29th minute after being set up by David Jones.

Jonathan Clarke then put Cricket Club in front in the 38th minute with an assist from Lee Carruthers.

Caie Elms equalised early in the second half for Milford Athletic with a stunning overhead kick, his first goal for the club.

Athletic hearts were broken when in the 84th minute, Cricket Club substitute Dan Ridge set up Lee Carruthers to score the winning goal for the home side to send them through to the next round.
