Scott Chalmers scored an injury-time winner to grab a late victory for Camrose over Lawrenny in the Division Three Cup Final at the Ogi Bridge Meadow Stadium.

Chalmers had put his side in front only for Lawrenny to draw level before half-time, in a game of few chances for Camrose.

The first half saw both sides struggle to gain control of the game with strong defensive performances from their respective backlines.

Lawrenny looked threatening in the opening 15 minutes put were kept quiet by Charlie Hughes whose commanding presence in the box would have put his defence at ease.

Camrose's Finnlay Thompson was brought down after a surging run toward the Lawrenny net early on, with Camrose unable to capitalise with a free-kick.

Joseph Haworth had Camrose's best early effort with a long-range shot sailing just over the bar in the 22nd minute.

Camrose's Paul Jenkins found himself making an important block in the 28th when Lawrenny looked set for a strong chance.

The deadlock was broken when in the 31st minute, Camrose's Finnlay Thompson did well to keep the ball in down the right-hand side before playing the ball down to Jordan Raymond, who superbly turned and crossed into the ball which was met by a fantastic header from Scott Chalmers to put Camrose in front.

Lawrenny then responded in the 42nd minute when Owen James crossed from the byline with the ball looping over Lawrenny's forwards and appearing to come off a Camrose defender's back to give Lawrenny an equaliser, with their forward Sam Davies being credited for the goal.

The second half saw Camrose exert more control over the game with Scott Chalmers seeing an effort deflected wide in the 58th minute, a strong run by Thompson being stopped for a corner in the 62nd minute and a strong save from the Lawrenny goalkeeper Dan Harries a few moments later from the resulting corner.

A few minutes later Harries was called into action again when after a Camrose free-kick was sent into the box, Rhys Morgan saw his shot saved to the keeper's left.

Lawrenny then responded with a period of control, stepping up the pressure as the game drew towards a close.

In the 80th minute, Lawrenny headed over the bar from an attacking corner.

Then minutes later Lawrenny's substitute forward Joseph Kidney found himself one on one with Camrose's goalkeeper after excellent skill to turn their last defender. He shot wide of the goal in his side's best chance of the game.

With four minutes added time, Camrose once again found life from seemingly nowhere. Defender Connor Planner sent in a fantastic cross towards Scott Chalmers, with Lawrenny's James Durbridge heading the ball onto his own post attempting to defend it. The ball then rebounded downwards for Scott Chalmers to get his foot on, fumbling the ball across the line for a winner to send the Camrose fans wild.
