Legends Tavern, the friendly village pub that has been winning hearts in Johnston since its opening on June 2nd, is celebrating its four-month milestone. I caught up with owners Brendan and Illana, to learn about their journey so far and what exciting plans they have in store for the future.
From the moment they unlocked the doors to Legends Tavern, Brendan and Illana have been on a mission to create a welcoming and vibrant environment.
The heartwarming part of their journey has been getting to know the people of Johnston. "We've had the privilege of welcoming familiar faces and making new friends every day," Brendan explains. "It's been great to connect with the community on a personal level."
Legends Tavern has become a hub for entertainment, hosting live music events that have been a hit with locals, along with lively karaoke nights. "We want Legends to be a place where you can enjoy a great meal, watch live music, or belt out your favourite songs with friends," Illana adds.
One of the recent highlights for Legends Tavern is the addition of an award-winning chef to their team, with culinary expertise elevating the pub's food offerings, with patrons giving great feedback about the delicious dishes now available.
Sports enthusiasts have also found a home at Legends Tavern, with a growing following of local sports fans. "We've listened to our customers and are excited to announce that we'll soon be installing a new television and getting Sky Sports. It's all about creating a welcoming space for everyone," Brendan mentions enthusiastically.
Sports excitement doesn't stop there. Legends Tavern has also entered the Haverfordwest Winter Pool League, with not just one but two teams representing the pub.
Sundays at Legends Tavern have become a culinary delight, with their Sunday Carvery receiving glowing reviews. "The response from our customers has been incredible," Illana says with pride. As the holiday season approaches, Legends Tavern are also set to release their Christmas menus, promising festive feasts for all to enjoy.
As Legends Tavern enters its fifth month, Brendan and Illana are looking forward to more exciting times ahead. "We want to thank the people of Johnston for making us feel at home, and we're excited for what the future holds.
